The start of a new year is filled with hope and promise, right? Like you, I am very visual. The new year reminds me of a bright shiny new penny or a beautiful pristine landscape covered in snow.
There is one thing that you have to pay to keep your hope alive for increased profits for 2017.
You have to PAY attention.
The most important thing that you can do to increase your success in Q1 of 2017 is to PAY ATTENTION. You need to pay attention to your numbers, your results and your thoughts. If you pay attention to these things – you will be paying yourself more.
- Pay attention to your numbers. Review your financials. Identify what numbers you want to be different. Decide on 3 specific steps you will take to do so. I am happy to help you with that. Ask me a question on www.facebook.com/retailmavens and we can talk about that.
- Pay attention to your results. If you didn’t get the results you wanted, then decide to make a change. Don’t take any excuses from yourself. (Sometimes we work for a boss that is much too nice!) For example, you may be unhappy with the money that you are bringing home from your store. You might say that you don’t understand or that your numbers are too confusing. In any other job, your boss would tell you to find out – ask an expert and get answers. Or your other option might be to get a different job! I know this is harsh but I want you to stop just getting by year after year. I want you to be very profitable and live the life you desire.
- Pay attention to your thoughts. Listen to what you are telling yourself. You are so talented and passionate. The more successful that you are, the more people that you get to share your passion with. And that impacts your life! Only listen to the thoughts you have that get you closer to those results – more success, more impact, more customers and raving fans, more profit. Anything else is crazy talk and has to be shut down in your head right away. Negative thoughts are easiest to stomp out when you first creep up.

Pay yourself more.
