How about some new marketing ideas? I knew you would love that! 😉
Coming up this weekend is the 51st Superbowl and that means 3 things.
1. Good food, football and friends
2. Great commercials.
3. Excellent time to do a blow out sale for your clearance items!!
I always recommend taking a % off all your clearance items that matches the # of the Super Bowl it is. So this year you would take 51% off those items. The beauty is that you can do it for Sunday if you are a “football widow” – you know that there are many others like you! But if you love the game, then do it on Saturday.
Shanna from Azure follows my Killer Clearance Sale Strategies. She did the fabulous email below and generously agreed to share it. All you have to do is swipe it by changing it up – don’t copy it exactly. Make it look and sound like you. Another great idea for this email is to share a recipe for your fav party dish or a drink. This is a great way to share your personality.
Right after the Super Bowl is Valentine’s Day! I got a couple ideas for you there too. These have been crazy political times. I always encourage you to use the platform of your store to share love and fun. There is so much negative going on everywhere that you have a duty to be a bright beacon of hope.
I got this email from Erin Sandler at Quinstance and it is just full of love. Whether you write something like this or share your ‘love story’ of why you started your store – DO SHARE! It is a wonderful way to celebrate this red heart holiday.
Another idea came from our new maven Katie Kohlmann. You can celebrate “Galentine’s Day! It is a fun twist on a Girl’s Night Out. Here is the definition of it from Bustle.com – which has other great resources.
Galentine’s Day is a holiday Amy Poehler’s Parks and Rec character Leslie Knope created that occurs every year on Feb. 13, the day before Valentine’s Day. As Leslie herself explains on the show:
“Oh it’s only the best day of the year. Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas.”
Hooray! Some new fun ideas. Let me know what you decide to do and share them in our Retail Revolutionaries FB group. What? You haven’t heard about it?! It is where all the cool retail kids hang out. 😉 Come on over and ask to join. I’ve been waiting for you. You are ABSOLUTELY one of the cool kids.
