Friend, I have to be honest, hitting “publish” on this post makes me a little nervous. It feels a lot like redecorating a room in your home. You know all the decisions, all the effort, and all the heart that went into it especially because every choice is made with sustainable growth in mind. But when someone walks in, they might just say, “Oh, that looks nice!” and move on.

That’s exactly how I feel about what I’m about to share with you. It may not sound earth-shattering at first, but I know the impact it will have on independent retailers everywhere. It’s already caused a seismic shift in how I see what’s possible and how we can lead retailers like you to sustainable growth.

Why Less Really Is More

Like so many of you, I used to live as if there were 36 hours in a day. Anyone else? 

The truth finally hit me: subtraction creates the richest delights.

That meant cutting out the noise, unsubscribing from distractions, and creating a brand-new decision framework for myself as a CEO. A space where I could focus on signals, not static.

Re-Engineering My Own Life

I’ll admit it, by the end of 2023, I was tired. I kept helping others create the life they wanted… but I hadn’t fully believed it for myself.
